School of Engineering

The School of Engineering, founded in 1898, houses six academic departments offering Bachelors, Masters and PhD degrees, as well as the Tufts Gordon Institute for engineering management.

The School’s aspirations:

• To be a leader among peer Engineering Schools in interdisciplinary research and engineering education
• To achieve an international reputation for educating engineering leaders (with an emphasis on communication skills, interdisciplinary technical preparation, management skills, globalization, and the societal impact of technology)
• To build a faculty, student body, and infrastructure that will support the above two objectives

Among the many opportunities for corporate and foundation partnership that are possible at the School are student recruitment, internships, faculty consultation, student projects, sponsored research and continuing education for technical professionals. We are especially proud of the resources available for corporate collaboration in the school’s research laboratories, centers, and programs.
